On March 7, 2025, 23-year-old white male Kyle Allen Thrasher of Janesville, Wisconsin, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a BP gas station on County Highway N in the town of Pleasant Springs, Dane County. The incident occurred just after midnight, and Kyle was pronounced dead at the scene.
