In a quiet Southwest Memphis neighborhood, the life of a beloved hairstylist and business owner came to a tragic end. On the afternoon of December 16, 2024, Ellen Buford Granberry, a 53-year-old African American woman, was found shot to death inside a gray Kia on Manson Road. Alongside her was her longtime friend, 54-year-old Sharon Wilson, who had also been fatally shot. The car was riddled with bullet holes, a grim testament to the violence that had unfolded.
