In a tragic incident on May 1, 2025, a young life was cut short in Chesterfield County, Virginia, a community near Richmond. Three-year-old King Edmonds, an African American boy described as loving, joyful, and full of energy, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The devastating event unfolded inside his home at the Winchester Green apartment complex on Avalon Heights Road.
