Ardise Ford, a 37-year-old man, was fatally shot in a northeast-side hotel in San Antonio, Texas, on April 10, 2025. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire at the Qubed Living Hotel, located on Rittiman Road, early that morning. According to investigators, Ford had been staying at the hotel when he opened the door to his room and was shot multiple times in the upper body.
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing a friend of the victim standing over his body, calling emergency services before fleeing the scene.
Emergency responders rushed Ford to the hospital, where he underwent surgery for his injuries. However, he ultimately succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed his identity and ruled his death a homicide.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect responsible for the shooting. Reports indicate that Ford was in the room with someone at the time of the attack, but that individual fled immediately after the incident. Law enforcement officials have not yet released details regarding any arrests or identified suspects in connection with the case.
