On December 26, 2024, 25-year-old Samori Husamudeen, a Black male DoorDash driver, was fatally shot inside a McDonald's restaurant located at 5009 Santa Fe Drive in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The incident occurred following an altercation between Husamudeen and a McDonald's employee, 25-year-old Kevin J. Holland.
