Gary Frantz, a 71-year-old man, was fatally shot on December 20, 2024, inside a Subway restaurant located in StoneRidge Plaza, Gahanna, Ohio. Frantz, who had lived in the area for 25 years, was a retired General Motors employee and was known for his passion for cars and motorsports. On the day of the incident, he was standing in line to order food when he was shot in the head with a semi-automatic pistol. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
