On June 14, 2024, at approximately 1:40 a.m., 25-year-old Jahaan Terrell Harris Jr. was fatally shot near the Amberly Square Apartments on Brandy Drive in Columbus, Ohio. Harris was walking with a group from Noe-Bixby Road onto Refugee Road when they were followed through the apartment complex by another group. Multiple assailants opened fire, striking Harris in the upper back. He was found unresponsive at a nearby gas station and pronounced dead at Mount Carmel East Hospital shortly after.
