In the early morning hours of April 10, 2025, the life of Deanna Lenette Fluker, a 32-year-old African American woman, was tragically cut short in her Whitehaven home in Memphis, Tennessee. Emergency responders were called to the residence on Sullivan Drive around 6:30 a.m. and found Fluker with a critical gunshot wound. She was transported to Regional One Health, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
