In what began as a dispute on the road, a life was tragically cut short in North Charleston, South Carolina. Kristoffer Wilson, a 50-year-old White/Caucasian male from Summerville, was fatally shot on April 24, 2025, following a road rage incident. The confrontation occurred at the intersection of Ingleside Drive and Zeppelin Drive, where an argument escalated into deadly violence.
Reports from the scene indicate that the incident started when another driver, identified as Elliott Antoin
Huggins, confronted Wilson about his driving. Witnesses stated that Huggins threw a cup of coffee at Wilson's vehicle and then at Wilson himself after he exited his car. The situation intensified when Wilson reportedly grabbed the passenger-side mirror of Huggins' vehicle. In response, Huggins is alleged to have fatally shot Wilson in the torso. Emergency services found Wilson with critical injuries in the roadway, and he was transported to Trident Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly before 1 p.m.
Following the incident, law enforcement officials took Elliott Antoin Huggins into custody. He was initially charged with attempted murder, but the charges were upgraded to murder following Wilson's death. Huggins also faces a charge of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. As the investigation continues, he is being held without bond.
