A vacation bound trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina, ended in tragedy for a 35-year-old man from Ohio. Barri Shank was shot and killed in the early morning hours of Monday, May 30, 2016, in North Charleston. The male victim and his wife had just arrived in the area and checked into a Hyatt Place hotel near the Charleston airport.

The incident occurred in the hotel's parking lot as Shank was taking his dogs for a walk. His wife called 911 after finding him with a gunshot wound. At the tim ...
