On the night of April 27, 2025, in the town of Yemassee, South Carolina, the life of 21-year-old Tyshawn Poppie Shaw was tragically cut short. A Black male, Tyshawn was found inside his vehicle near the intersection of Ishmel Road and Simmons Street, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. When deputies from the Hampton County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, the grim discovery was made, and the county coroner pronounced him dead.
