In the early morning hours of April 30, 2025, the life of 28-year-old Shaquille Wright was tragically cut short. An African American man from Lamar, South Carolina, Wright was fatally shot on West Lynches River Road in a quiet area of Darlington County. The incident, which occurred around 2:05 A.M., resulted in Wright being pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.
