On a Tuesday night in Columbia, South Carolina, a violent altercation erupted, leaving one man dead and two other individuals wounded. The deceased was identified as Timothy Jacobs, a 44-year-old Black or African American male. The incident occurred on May 13, 2025, in the Booker Heights community on Booker Street, near Farrow Road. Columbia police were dispatched to the area around 9 p.m. following a ShotSpotter alert and reports of gunfire.
