A simmering argument at a Columbia, South Carolina graduation party on June 3, 2017, tragically escalated, ending the life of 31-year-old Jarritt Demonteze Rodgers. The male victim was attending a celebratory gathering at a home in the 2100 block of Apple Valley Road when the dispute broke out. The festive atmosphere of the family get-together was shattered around 9 p.m. by the sound of a gunshot.
