On the night of March 12, 2025, tragedy struck in Kernersville, North Carolina, when 43-year-old John Darnell Richardson III was fatally shot. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire on Salisbury Street just after 11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Richardson, an African American male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a parking lot.
