Marcus was shot in the face by a 17-year-old boy named Tristan Jones, who fired a gun from the passenger side window of a car as it was leaving the park.
Tristan Jones was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He later pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and received a maximum sentence of nearly six-and-a-half years.
