On March 29, 2025, at approximately 4:27 a.m., Raleigh Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting in the 800 block of Plentywood Court. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds: a 24-year-old Black male, Demajay Antonio Lyons, and an adult female. Both were transported to a local hospital, where Demajay Antonio Lyons succumbed to his injuries. The female victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was expected to recover.
