Jalyn Thornton, a 22-year-old Black male from Fayetteville, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on April 13, 2025, in a fatal shooting at College Lake Recreational Center. The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m., prompting officers from the Fayetteville Police Department to respond to reports of gunfire at the location. Upon arrival, authorities discovered Thornton suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
