In the quiet, rural landscape of Franklin County, Mississippi, a fatal encounter unfolded on the afternoon of December 13, 2024. James Marshall Woods, a 53-year-old male resident of Roxie, was shot and killed near Old Loop Road. The time was approximately 12:37 p.m. when law enforcement authorities were called to the scene, where they discovered Woods suffering from gunshot wounds.
