In the early afternoon of December 28, 2024, tragedy struck in Canton, Mississippi, when 20-year-old Devantae Johnson was fatally shot. The male victim was visiting friends at an apartment complex located at the intersection of West North and Watkins streets when the violent incident occurred. Reports indicate that the shooting was reported at approximately 12:51 p.m.
