In the late morning hours of a Sunday in Kansas City, Missouri, a call initially reporting a vehicle accident at the intersection of East 56th Street and Woodland Avenue would soon reveal a more tragic event. On February 16, 2025, police officers were dispatched to the scene around 11:30 a.m. and discovered 46-year-old Keevon U. Mitchell inside a vehicle, not as a victim of a car crash, but of a fatal gunshot wound. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. ...
