In the winter of 2025, the life of 36-year-old Perry Louis Demolle Jr., a male resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. On February 18, 2025, Demolle was killed by gun violence. His body was discovered three days later, on February 21, on Gussie Lane near Louisiana Highway 16 in St. Helena Parish. An examination revealed he had sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his head.
The discovery of his body launched a homicide investigation that would lead to the indictment of two men from Baton Rouge.
The investigation into Demolle's death led to Arthur McGee and Jonathan Manning. In June of 2025, a grand jury indicted both men in connection with the murder. McGee was charged with second-degree murder, alleging that he was the one who killed Demolle. He was also charged with obstruction of justice for tampering with evidence in the case.
