On the night of January 25, 2025, 22-year-old Karvell St. Cyr, an African American male, was fatally shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. At approximately 11:15 p.m., Baton Rouge Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 6500 block of Blackberry Street, near the intersections of Choctaw Drive and Lobdell Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered Karvell St. Cyr deceased at the scene, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
