Do you know who murdered Keoki Manuel? In the early morning hours of March 24, 2018, the quiet of a Las Vegas neighborhood was broken by a grim discovery. A passerby noticed a man lying unresponsive on the sidewalk in the 4200 block of North Lamont Street, across from an elementary school. A subsequent 911 call brought officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to the scene at approximately 12:27 a.m. There, they found 27-year-old Keoki Manuel, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Medical personnel arrived, but it was too late; Manuel was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators from the LVMPD Homicide Section soon determined that the shooting itself had gone unreported until Manuel's body was found. Delving into the circumstances of his death, detectives began to piece together a narrative suggesting the incident may have been related to the sale of narcotics. The investigation pointed to the possibility that Manuel was targeted and that the shooting could have been an act of retaliation for a prior altercation he was involved in.
Despite their efforts, authorities have not publicly identified any suspects in connection with Keoki Manuel's murder. Homicide detectives were able to obtain video footage of a vehicle that was seen entering and leaving the area around the time of the killing, but no direct link to the crime has been established from this footage. No arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has continued to appeal to the public for any information that might lead to the identification and apprehension of the person or persons responsible for Manuel's death.
