In the quiet city of Kalamazoo, Michigan, a somber event unfolded on the afternoon of January 23, 2025, forever altering the lives of a local family. On that Thursday, officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the 1200 block of East Main Street around 1:32 p.m. following a report of an unresponsive male. Upon their arrival, they discovered the body of 32-year-old Jeromey Jervon Harvey, a Black/African American man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
