On May 9, 2025, authorities in St. Louis, Missouri, responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the early hours of the morning, leading them to a tragic scene. Upon arrival at a residence on Wells Avenue, officers discovered the lifeless body of 57-year-old Tyrone Mason, a Black male, lying on the front porch.
