Do you know who murdered Rodney Brewer? In the early hours of a Tuesday morning in Las Vegas, the life of Rodney Dane Brewer, a 32-year-old Black / African American male, was cut short by a fatal act of violence. On September 11, 2018, Brewer was behind the wheel of his sedan when a gunshot ended his life. The Clark County coroner would later determine that he died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Though he was discovered in his vehicle which had come to a stop on South Arville Street, detectives believe the shooting actually took place less than a half-mile away at the Rancho Del Sol apartments on West Rochelle Avenue.
Inside the car with Brewer at the time of the shooting were two other individuals, a woman and another man. In the immediate aftermath of the gunfire, the male passenger fled from the vehicle before police arrived on the scene. Authorities have not publicly clarified whether this individual is considered a witness or a potential suspect in the homicide. The woman who was also present in the car remained at the scene.
