On the evening of April 19, 2025, 27-year-old Davione Daunte Charles Collins, a Black male from Maple Grove, Minnesota, was fatally shot outside the Peregrine Apartment building at 2035 West River Road North in Minneapolis. Authorities believe the incident was a targeted attack during a drug deal involving marijuana.
