In the spring of 2025, a burst of violence on a Baltimore street cut short the life of a 30-year-old man, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden loss. Christopher Lavell Banks Jr., a Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of March 15, 2025. The incident unfolded around 9:44 p.m. in the 5400 block of Park Heights Avenue, a neighborhood in the Northwest District of the city.
