Johnie Maurice Veal, a 42-year-old man, was fatally shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago on the evening of January 14, 2025. According to police reports, Veal was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and leg at approximately 6:35 p.m. in the 400 block of North Springfield Avenue.
