Jose Manuel Silva-Esparza, 18, a Hispanic/Latino male, was found shot to death on February 5, 2008, inside a duplex at 3125 South 16th Street in South Omaha. He was discovered alongside his cousin, 34-year-old Francisco Lemus-Torres. Both men had recently come to Omaha from Arizona, looking for work and sharing the residence where the killings occurred. Neighbors reported hearing gunfire, and police identified the scene as a double homicide that Tuesday afternoon.
