Vincent Burns, a 20-year-old Black male, was shot late on January 23, 2022, during a large disturbance outside Jet Sports Bar at 7440 North 30th Street in Omaha’s Florence neighborhood. Off-duty officers working security called for backup around midnight after gunfire erupted. Officers performed CPR on Burns before medics transported him to Nebraska Medicine, where he died. Two other people were wounded in the same incident; police later identified them as Marquetta Pope, 33, and Trevon Walker
