On the evening of April 30, 2025, 25-year-old African American male David Bernard Turley III, affectionately known as "Trey" or "DT3," was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Reserve at White Oak apartments on South Harrell's Ferry Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Responding to reports of gunfire around 6:15 p.m., East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies found David critically wounded. He was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
