On August 8, 2012, Derrick Alexander, a 35-year-old man from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was found dead following a shooting incident. The police were called to the 5300 block of Ritterman Avenue after receiving reports of gunfire shortly before 9:00 PM. Upon their arrival, they discovered Alexander's lifeless body lying in the roadway, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
