A 15-year-old male, Tyler McWilliams, was fatally shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on the night of Thursday, April 10, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 9:37 p.m. at Brown's One Stop Convenience Store located on North Acadian Thruway near Bogan Walk. McWilliams, a ninth-grade student at Istrouma High School, sustained life-threatening injuries during the shooting.
Following the shooting, McWilliams was transported to Baton Rouge General Mid-City Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, Tyler McWilliams succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025.
