In the early morning hours of a Sunday in Louisville's Russell neighborhood, a life was tragically cut short. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 2 a.m. near the intersection of 18th and Jefferson streets, Louisville Metro Police officers discovered a man inside a vehicle who had been shot. Emergency medical services were called to the scene, but their efforts were in vain as the man was pronounced dead.
