In the quiet darkness of a late December night in Dekalb County, Georgia, a tragedy unfolded that would shatter a family's world. Five-year-old Lavari Arouni, a little boy with a bright future and a talent for math, was asleep in the safety of his bed, his four-year-old brother slumbering beside him.
