In the Smoketown neighborhood of Louisville, a Saturday morning turned tragic when 70-year-old Michael Evans was fatally shot on South Preston Street. The male victim was discovered by Metro Police officers just after 11 a.m. suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite receiving immediate aid at the scene, he was pronounced dead. A witness described Evans as a Black man who was often seen walking his pit bull in the neighborhood.
