Tavontee Fox, a 24-year-old African American man from Waukegan, Illinois, was fatally shot on February 9, 2025, in Beach Park. The incident occurred around 12:10 p.m. in the 39300 block of Melbourne Court, where multiple gunshots were reported. Witnesses described seeing two African American men, estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old, fleeing the scene. Deputies arriving at the location discovered spent shell casings and shattered glass from a vehicle.
