Alfred Shelton, a 77-year-old man, was fatally shot inside his home in the West Roseland neighborhood of Chicago on February 25, 2025. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 3:10 a.m., when officers on patrol heard gunfire and responded to the scene. Shelton was found on the first level of his residence with gunshot wounds to his head and neck. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
