Takoda Simon Gallegos, a 17-year-old male of Pokagon Potawatomi descent, tragically lost his life on January 15, 2025, in Mishawaka, Indiana. The incident occurred near Mishawaka High School, where authorities discovered the young victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers on the scene attempted life-saving measures, but the injuries proved fatal, and Takoda Simon Gallegos was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
