Rodney Nixon Jr., a 37-year-old man from Indianapolis, was fatally shot in the early hours of January 20, 2025. The incident occurred in an apartment complex on North Warman Avenue, near West Washington Street and North Tibbs Avenue, on the city's near west side. Responding officers found Rodney Nixon Jr. in the hallway of the building with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
