On January 30, 2025, Samuel Dion Blash, a 44-year-old African American man, was found fatally shot inside a vehicle in the Reynoldstown neighborhood of southeast Atlanta. Authorities responded to a call around 11 a.m. regarding a shooting incident on Wylie Street SE, a location just west of Moreland Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered Blash suffering from a gunshot wound inside his car. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
