In the early morning hours of May 17, 2021, a burst of violence at a southwest Atlanta flea market tragically cut short the life of 29-year-old Alan R. Turner Jr. Responding to a shooting call at approximately 3:30 a.m. at the Metro Mart USA on Metropolitan Parkway, police discovered Turner with multiple gunshot wounds. He was urgently transported to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
The investigation into the shooting moved swiftly, and an arrest was made in
connection with the murder of Alan R. Turner Jr. A 15-year-old male was taken into custody and is facing a series of serious charges, including felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Due to the suspect's status as a minor, his identity has not been publicly released by the authorities.
