In the early morning hours of Friday, February 7, 2025, a tragedy unfolded in Topeka, Kansas, that marked the city's first homicide of the year. Olivia Miller, a 51-year-old Black / African American woman, was fatally shot in a residence located in the 2700 block of SW Burnett Road.
