On January 31, 2025, at approximately 12:50 PM, Camari Hunt, a 23-year-old African American male, was found shot in the parking lot of Waterfront Terrace apartments in the 5000 block of West 36th Terrace on Indianapolis' northwest side. Officers discovered Hunt outside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite officers providing immediate life-saving aid and rushing him to a hospital in critical condition, Hunt later succumbed to his injuries.
