In the early morning hours of February 17, 2025, the life of 17-year-old Xavier Buggs was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Brunswick, Georgia. Responding to reports of gunfire around 12:30 a.m. in the 3200 block of Brailsford Avenue, police discovered Buggs and another teenager, 19-year-old Eric Stanley, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both young men were rushed to a nearby hospital, but their injuries proved to be fatal, and they were pronounced dead.

The investigation into the double homicide led by Brunswick law enforcement officials resulted in the identification and arrest of several suspects. Kevin Bernard Pinkney Jr., a 24-year-old man, was charged in the killings of Buggs and Stanley. Precious Bradley, 28, Keyuana Billing, 28, and 24-year-old Kyara Pierce were each charged with two counts of party to the crime of murder. Bradley faced an additional charge of simple battery. The arrests of Bradley and Billing took place on a Tuesday, while Pierce was apprehended in the city of Kingsland the following day.
