In the late hours of a December evening in Brunswick, Georgia, the life of 32-year-old Latroy Warren was brought to a violent and tragic end. On December 3, 2016, three men forcibly entered Warren's residence on Wolfe Street. Inside the home, the intruders opened fire, striking Warren multiple times. The assailants then fled the scene on foot, disappearing into the night.
Police responded to a call of shots fired at the home at approximately 9:42 p.m.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Warren suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Investigators learned that two of the three suspects were dressed entirely in black. The investigation into Warren's death began immediately, with law enforcement believing the attack was not a random act and that the suspects may have known the victim.
In the days following the shooting, the Brunswick Police Department released a composite sketch of one of the suspects, described as a Black male with brown eyes and a medium brown skin tone, believed to be in his late teens to mid-twenties. The other two suspects were also thought to be in a similar age range. Authorities appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the individuals responsible for the home invasion and murder. A neighbor tragically reported that Warren's young daughters had been present and witnessed the horrific event. Despite the ongoing investigation and the circulation of the suspect's description, information regarding any arrests or the current status of the case has not been made publicly available.
