On March 11, 2025, Christina Ebony Smith Felix, a 35-year-old African American woman, was fatally shot outside her daycare center, 5K Little Dreamerz Academy, in Jacksonville, Florida. Christina was a mother of five and the owner of the daycare. Her sudden death has left her family and community in mourning.
