Julia White Burgess, aged 42, tragically lost her life on June 18, 1990, in Jacksonville, Florida. Her death occurred during a mass shooting at a GMAC payment center, which is considered one of the first workplace mass shootings in U.S. history. On that fateful day, a man entered the payment center and began shooting, resulting in the deaths of ten people, including Julia White Burgess.
